Shark Infested Custard

 Today we worked in a team with other people and we played a game. The IP skill that I used today was Manaakitanga- being inclusive we worked together and pushed through and kept trying even when we failed multiple times; we tried new strategies and plans that were different. This was important to use because everyone has to be in a hoop and has to be included for it to go well. I worked with Jared, Taylor, Elias, Makenzie and Jessica we worked well because we just worked together even tho we weren't all with our friends. I would probably try and make the steps smaller with the hula hoops so its not as difficult to get across. I think we worked at level three of helinsons levels of behaviour.

Band members names= Matiu Walters plays guitar and is also the lead singer, Chris Mac plays bass guitar, Ji Fraser is the lead guitarist, Marlon Gerbes is the synthesizer ( keyboard player), Eli Paewai plays the acoustic drum kit, and Hoani Matenga plays bass guitar.

when did the band form= The band formed in 2008 in Dunedin. Their band name originated from the flat they lived in on 660 castle street that started it all. 

what is the song about= The song is about "its all over" relating to a breakup and what the girl wrote in a note while saying goodbye. "That's all she wrote" is a phrase meaning the end of something.

I enjoy having a new song for our bell every week cause then I don't get sick of the same song being played over and over again. It also gives me a chance to find out about new songs. 

Workshop- Biographies.

Biography- The history of someones life, written by someone else (bi=meaning involves two people.) Autobiography-The history of your life, written by you. No one else can write your autobiography. (auto=by yourself) Bias-favouring one person or thing unfairly.

Humanities 2021

Achievement-something achieved through hard work, courage, or skill. For e.g winning the race was a great achievement. Aspiration- A goal, aim or ambititon. For e.g her aspiration is to become a pilot. Inspiration- Motivating actions, thoughts, or other influences that encourage you to want or do something good. For e.g your poems have been a great inspiration for me to start writing. Adaptable- Being flexible enough to adjust to changes and being comfortable with change. persistence- Having the patience to keep on doing something even if it gets hard or something goes wrong. Resourceful- being imaginative enough to come up with something and being capable of dealing with difficult situations quickly and efficiently. Resilience- Is having the ability to spring back and keep trying and not giving up if something goes wrong or gets hard and you fail or get it wrong. Resolute- Being stubborn and showing determination in your decision or beleif. For e.g they tried to convince him otherwise but he was resoloute in his decision. perseverance- Is being resilient and even if u fail you keep going, you dont stop and you try again. For e.g after many failed attempts she kept trying and won a record. commitment- not giving up on something and keep on going. strategy- a plan, method, or series,of actions meant to come together and perform a particular goal relating to the plan. goal- a result or end that a person wants and works for, an aim or purpose. For e.g her goal is to become an animal doctor. barrier- something that blocks the way such as a fence or wall. for e.g we put a barrier up so our dog wouldnt run off. attribute- an attribute is a personality trait that describes you. persuasive- being able to convince someone else to try or agree with something. for e.g she made a persuasive speech about why girls are better than boys. insightful- Easy to understand and outting it from and easier perspective. For e.g the councellers insightufl words helped him to understand the problem he was facing. integrity- Being honest and having a strong sense of who you are and not changing how you act towards others. always obeying rules and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Tenacious- tending to cling onto another substance or surface. For e.g glue is a tenacious substance. empathetic. being empathetic or having empathy means you are able to understand how someone else is feeling and relate to them. Respect- Being kind and professional towards someone. for e.g she has a lot of respect for her teacher and treats him well.
