Abomination essay paragraph

In the novel Abomination by Robert Swindell article 1 of the human rights commission is breached by the treatment of Jim.  All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood; this is the statement from the human rights commission. Meaning no one is born different from others-can't be born into slavery and or kept in a cage. They have access to basic human rights such as food, water and shelter. Jim is known as abomination and is kept in a cage in a dark cellar he is breached of his clothes his rights to be outside and the right to learning and having an education. He has not been outside before or seen the sun, he is a 7 year old boy in a cage with no clothes just a nappy. He has lost his rights for love, socialisation and he doesn't get to see his mum."Abomination's a boy Scott. A little boy. He lives in the cellar in a cage"(pg143) "and she lets her kid live in a cage?....."She doesn't know!"(pg146) A lot of these statements show that Jim has been breached of article 1 of the human rights commission by his horrible treatment and captivity.
